
Professional Practice/Biographical Profile
Thomas M. Gallo, PA-C, Esq., works throughout New York State and is headquartered in Uniondale, New York. Prior to this, Mr. Gallo was a partner at Kern Augustine, P.C. and was also with the firm of Frier Levitt. His practice includes professional license defense, administrative and other licensure matters, employment and institutional privilege concerns, insurance reimbursement issues, regulatory compliance, risk management, third party payer audits, and other professional practice issues including structuring and managing healthcare practices. Mr. Gallo represents physicians, PAs, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners, dentists, chiropractors, podiatrists and all other licensed healthcare providers.
Mr. Gallo has extensive experience in medicine as a healthcare provider, administrator and educator. He continues to lecture on a wide variety of topics to clinicians at medical and other specialty society functions and to fellows, residents, and physician assistant students throughout New York State. Mr. Gallo continues to serve as General Counsel to numerous Medical and Specialty Societies including New York State Osteopathic Medical Society (NYSOMS) and New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSSPA).
Mr. Gallo is a nationally certified and New York licensed Physician Assistant who maintained a full-time clinical practice before attending law school. After graduating from the Physician Assistant Program, he worked in various clinical specialties including Obstetrics/Gynecology, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine and other specialties. He maintains his clinical skills through volunteer work in the U.S and abroad.
Mr. Gallo has been involved in the education of physician assistant students, medical students, interns and residents in New York and Massachusetts. He serves or has served in various faculty roles at nationally accredited physician assistant programs. He lectures on numerous topics including legal medicine, surgery, HIPAA compliance, Healthcare Law, and Medical Ethics. Additionally, he has lectured and prepared graduates for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE).
